There seems to be a “collapse” in living standards as the rate of inflation continues to remain well above the desired target of 2%.
Shadow Treasurer Angus Taylor, commenting on the inflation, said that it “hasn’t come down.”
He also said that it continues to remain “well above” target inflation.
“We’re seeing very, very big numbers continuing.
“There’s no sign of any improvement in the collapse of the standard of living that we’re seeing for Australia in the last 18 months.
“This government is not even close to having a plan to reverse that collapse in living standards.”
