In an attempt to woo shoppers into buying branded products, Woolworths has reduced their Everyday Rewards promotion, allowing them to earn 10X points on those products.
The promotion will be running across all Woolworths chains with partner brands like BWS, Big W, Healthylife, and Everyday Market for the first time.
Customers who purchase well-known products like Primo, Huggies, Red Rock, Obela, and so on are eligible for point bonuses. The same is true for brands like Logitech, Cygnett, and a few selected Legos at Big W.
“Members who regularly boost their Everyday Rewards points enjoy a significant amount of money, on average, off their shop each year,” Everyday Rewards ANZ managing director Hannah Ross conveyed. “So, we’re also thrilled to help members collect points faster to earn $10 off their next shop sooner at Woolworths supermarkets, BIG W, and BWS.”
Members of Everyday Rewards must “boost” the “Boost Your Budget” offer in the app, via email, or by scanning a QR code in-store in order to activate it. It will continue till May 14.
Coles drops prices on hundreds of items
Rival giant Coles has also announced plans to drop prices on more than 300 products online and in-store for the coming three months. Popular brands of dinner-time favorites and pantry staples are also included.
Among the offers are Coles Australian Lamb Shanks 2 Packs for from $9.50 to $8.50 per kilo, and Coles Australian No Added Hormones Beef Oyster Blade Steak 500g from $13, down to $11.
“Autumn comes with the comforts of home cooking, and to help households save money and cook hearty meals, we’ve lowered the price of a range of popular meat cuts for the next three months, including our much-loved lamb shanks, perfect for the colder weather,” Coles chief commercial officer Anna Croft stated.
Discounts are also available on delicacies like frozen apple pies and mud cakes, as well as household essentials like coffee, laundry detergent, and canned veggies.
Coles said that it would be carrying over 500 products at its “Down Down” prices through April. Up until June 25th, the 300 products will be discounted.
